WINNING TOGETHER LIKE THE BLUE ARMADA OF MAPEI

27 May 2020 By Wijtze De Groot News

Winning together was the motto of Mapei, and this is something David and his friends certainly did. In the colourful retro cycling jerseys of Mapei, they were not to be missed on Mont Ventoux. In doing so, they followed in the footsteps of, among others, Eddy Merckx and Jan Janssen.

MONT VENTOUX

Also called the Giant of Provence, with an altitude of almost 2000 metres, it is the only one of its kind in the Provence region. The name 'Mont Ventoux' is derived from the Occitan word vent meaning wind and is said to be dedicated to Vintour, the Celtic (Ligurian) god of the wind. Wind speeds of up to 300 km/h have been recorded at the top of the mountain.

STYLISH SWEATING

What do you need to sweat in style? The group of friends had one part of the answer to that question: a challenge at almost 2000 metres. We at Retro Cycling knew what to do with the second part: the Mapei jersey for ladies and gentlemen.

Climbing Mont Ventoux twice, in style!

All jerseys and outfits from Retro Cycling are available for him and her. If your favourite jersey is not on the site, please contact us to discuss the possibilities.
